Republican policies encourage corporations to set up off shore tax dodge schemes to avoid paying taxes. Working people pay higher taxes to make up the difference.
Accenture was granted a $10 billion Homeland Security Department contract (the departments largest contract to date), despite the fact that they have set up corporate offices in Bermuda to avoid paying federal taxes.

"We lose about $5 billion in revenue", according to Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn, who has authored legislation that would prohibit tax dodgers from receiving contracts from the departments of Treasury and Transportation. The bill was defeated by House Republicans.

Both the White House and the Republican Congressional leadership have opposed banning corporate ex-patriots from receiving government contracts.
