The U.S. is angry because Iran and North Korea want to possess nuclear weapons. The U.S. is angry because Syria has troops in Lebanon. Does anyone see the irony in this? |
The U.S. spends more on the military than the next 14 countries combined. The U.S. has the largest stockpile of nuclear weapons in the world. The U.S. is the only country that has ever used a nuclear weapon against another country. Now Bush is proposing the development of a new generation of "battlefield" nuclear weapons. The U.S. has approximately 150,000 troops occupying Iraq. (Syria has around 14,000 troops occupying Lebanon.) Really now…looking at this objectively, is it hard to see why our stance on these issues might appear hypocritical to the rest of the world? Is Bush's real mission to spread irony around the world? (By the way, if the Syrians are so bad, why is the Bush administration using a process known as "extraordinary rendition" to ship suspects there to be tortured?) |

BlueMax, you would be more effective in making your case if you would specifically address the issues addressed in the discussion. Do you not possess the intelect to refute the argument we've made? Go ahead...give it another try! |
